Weekly Announcements

THE HCBC NURSERY! The nursery is located in the Jesse Barnes, Jr. Family Life Center, first classroom on the left. Entrance Double doors nearest the JBJFLC will NOT be accessible. Please enter the church as normal and proceed to the JBJFLC. Remember, parents MUST sign their child in with complete name, age and parent's/guardian's cell number to be reached during service.

The HCBC Worship & Arts Ministry presents Canticles of Christmas Sunday, December 9, 2018, at 4:00 p.m. If you are interested in participating, please contact ministry leaders to sign-up for rehearsal information. “A Christmas Miracle” a musical sponsored by local organizations will be held Sunday, December 2, 2018, at 4:00 p.m. at Good Hope Baptist Church, 187 Pope Miller Road, Hull, Georgia. All proceeds will be donated to help the less fortunate have “A Christmas Miracle”.

The Ninth District Opportunity’s Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program began assistance with heating cost for gas or electric for every resident age 65 or older or homebound due to health reasons November 1. A study that will look at the health-related quality of life of stroke survivors with aphasia or language impairment or survivors without aphasia with no history of psychiatric disorders or other neurological disorders is being conducted. Know Someone Who Needs Help READING? Everyday Readers is an Adult Literacy Community for ages 18-88 and up. Join people who are learning to read and read better. Work one-on-one and in small groups. Mother Elizabeth G. King and Deacon Vernon Payne on your selection as 2019 Pioneer Awards honorees for the 30th Annual Emancipation Proclamation and Pioneer Awards Observance. The observance will be held Tuesday, January 1, 2019, at 11 am, at Bethel Baptist Church, 59 North Main Street, Watkinsville, Georgia.

The President, The Faculty and The Graduating Class of Georgia State University announce the graduation of Kaylyn Apiffany Simmons on Tuesday, the eleventh of December Two Thousand Eighteen with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Exercise Science. Commencement ceremonies will be held at Hank McCamish Pavilion at 7 p.m.
